Hinckley-based independent car supermarkets V12 Sports and Classics has partnered with Tracker Network UK to offer stolen vehicle recovery (SVR) technology across its used car and van inventory.
With DVLA figures showing that a car is now stolen every 8.5 minutes in the UK, early results showing a 30% customer uptake - a figure the company aims to grow to 50%.
“We pride ourselves on treating our customers like trusted friends and family,” said Farhad Tailor, managing director at V12 Sports and Classics. “That’s why we partnered with Tracker. Its unmatched technology and police collaboration offer our customers real peace of mind - and a tangible way for us to deliver added value.”
Tracker’s VHF and GPS/GSM dual-technology is resistant to jamming and allows stolen vehicles to be located even when hidden underground or in containers. This technology drives a 95% recovery rate, with 80% of vehicles recovered within 24 hours.
“Without an SVR device, the recovery rate is just 23%,” noted Mark Rose, managing director of Tracker. “By offering our solutions, V12 Sports and Classics is not only increasing vehicle recovery odds dramatically but also helping reduce potential insurance costs for customers.”
V12 Sports and Classics said it has started to contact past buyers to offer Tracker installation.
“We’re also bringing this to our wider ecosystem,” Tailor added. “From finance and insurance partners to our peers in the retail sector, we’re championing the industry-wide adoption of Tracker solutions.”
Tracker’s key advantages include an exclusive partnership with UK police; hidden, tamper-proof installation and potential insurance savings for customers.
Beyond technology, the partnership has included full staff training, ongoing rollout support, and consistent communication to ensure effective customer engagement.
