Wilmoths Citroën dealership in Winchester closes

Wilmoths Citroën dealership on Bar End Road in Winchester officially closed its doors on June 20 following a decision by Wilmoths Group not to renew the lease on the site.

Managing Director Sunil Joshi said: “We can confirm that the Wilmoths Winchester Bar End branch is closing. The lease for the site was due for renewal, and after careful consideration, we have made the decision not to extend it.”

Joshi added that the move is part of a broader effort to streamline operations across the group: “This choice reflects our ongoing efforts to streamline operations while continuing to provide excellent service to our customers, many of whom are also able to access our nearby Wilmoths Southampton branch.”

Wilmoths said it is working to ensure a smooth transition for customers. “Every effort is being made to minimise disruption and maintain the high level of service our customers expect,” Joshi added.

The group continues to operate 10 Citroën and DS Automobiles showrooms across Berkshire, Hampshire, Kent, Surrey, and Sussex. Wilmoth added Mitsubishi to its franchised retail offering following the acquisition of Hampshire’s Freeborn Group.
