Citroen has cut the price of its C5 diesel models by up to £1,000 in moves that will spell lower tax bills for company car drivers.

On-the-road prices for all C5 2.2-litre 136bhp HDi models fall by £995, while prices of 2.0-litre 110 bhp HDi models are cut by £555, and £275 has been cut from the price of 2.0-litre 90 bhp HDi C5 cars.

The firm has also reduced the price of entry level Saxo to less than £6,000, including £700 cashback (available on all Saxo models except the VTS). (December 13, 2001)
