A new 1.6-litre, three-door Suzuki 4x4, the GV1600 Sport, available in soft top or estate body styles has been launched in the UK for £10,995 OTR.

The new model (pictured), based on the Grand Vitara short wheelbase chassis, the GV1600 Sport has power steering, dual full size SRS front airbags, electric windows and mirrors, central locking, a radio/cassette player, immobiliser, multi-reflector halogen headlamps, spare wheel cover and a high mounted stop lamp.

The engine an all-alloy 16-valve unit with computerised multi-point fuel injection, with a combined fuel consumption figure of 35mpg and is available in five-speed manual transmission only, incorporating Suzuki's Drive Select 4x4 system, allowing a switch from two to four wheel drive and back again at up to 62mph when the terrain allows.
