A special limited edition version of the Maserati 3200GT is to be launched in the UK.

Just 75 examples of the Maserati 3200GT Coupe 'Assetto Corsa' will be made available in this country when it goes on sale in July.

Available in a choice of three colours – Rosso Mondiale (red), Grigio Touring (grey) and Nero Carbonio (black) – the Assetto Corsa version features numerous steering, handling and braking enhancements plus several sporting features that distinguish this unique version.

The handling package includes variable electronic suspension, stiffer springs, a larger diameter anti-roll bar and suspension that is lowered by around 15 mm. It is supplied with special 15-spoke, 18-inch alloy wheels, painted in dark grey to give a Titanium effect and shod with 'soft mix' Pirelli P Zero Corse tyres.

The braking responses of the car are enhanced with racing formula brake pads and modified brake servo settings. The brake callipers are finished in red and the air ducts to the braking system are constructed from a special carbon fibre/nylon mix to reduce weight. Steering response is made more precise due to a modified steering rack.

The identity of this special Maserati is highlighted inside the car by racing-style pedals and sill plates engraved with 'Assetto Corsa' and the series number of the vehicle. The limited edition theme continues with black leather trim, red seat piping, black carpets and special carbon fibre trim.

Prices for the Maserati 3200GT 'Assetto Corsa' (pictured) are £65,950 for the six-speed manual version and £67,950 for the automatic.

A "peace-of-mind" support package for customers includes a three-year/60,000-mile manufacturer's warranty, fixed priced servicing costs, specific Maserati insurance cover available through Marsh Private Clients and a range of funding options available through Maranello Financial Services.
