Audi–A3 Cabriolet

April 2014

Completing the Audi A3 line-up alongside the three- and five-door hatch models and the new saloon is the drop-top A3 Cabriolet. It arrives in the UK in April with a folding fabric roof that drops down from fully up to hidden away in 18 seconds. It can be operated at up to 31mph on the move and the A3 Cabrio comes with S and S line suspension as no-cost options. There’s Audi’s new 1.4 TFSI petrol engine with 138bhp, 56.5mpg and 114g/km CO2 emissions or a 1.8 TFSi with 177bhp. Company drivers will also be tempted by the 1.6- and 2.0-litre TDI diesel engines with 74.3mpg and 67.3mpg respectively. The 1.6 delivers 99g/km Co2 emissions and the 2.0 TDI gives 110g/km. Prices for the 1.6 diesel model have yet to be confirmed. Audi says the new A3 Cabrio is 50kg lighter than the previous model yet is stiffer to resist body shake and give better handling.
