The middle of 2014 will see the new Peugeot 108 city car launched at the same time as its Citroen and Toyota relatives. It will come with a new three-cylinder petrol engine and possibly a diesel, but Peugeot won’t say if a hybrid model is on the cards. Three- and five-door models are likely and the 108 will have a glass tailgate. Economy and emissions figures will be confirmed nearer the 108’s launch but Peugeot says carbon dioxide emissions of significantly less than 100g/km are certain.
