The hottest version of the new Seat Leon so far arrives in the summer with a 265bhp 2.0-litre turbo petrol engine. It will be offered with six-speed manual or DSG dual-clutch gearboxes and should provide 0-62mph in less than 6.0 seconds. It has lowered suspension, new rear exhaust design and front bumper with large air intakes. A Cupra R model is expected late in 2014 using the same 300bhp 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine and four-wheel drive system from the Volkswagen Golf R. Expect the Cupra R to cover 0-62mph in 5.0 seconds.
