Citroen has become the latest manufacturer to introduce a three-year/60,000-mile warranty, following similar moves by Ford, Renault and Vauxhall. It has also extended the warranty on commercial vehicles to a two-year/unlimited mileage offer.

Alain Favey, Citroen UK managing director, said: “Buyers have been quick to recognise Citroen's value for money proposition and this latest move brings a total peace of mind warranty at no extra cost.”

The warranty includes all parts and labour costs and would have cost owners up to £500 for 36,000 miles' cover as an option.
