Land Rover aims to cash in on the booming double-cab pick-up market with the launch of the Defender 110 Double Cab. It has seating for up to six, a 1,035mm-long load space in the rear, a payload of 1,080kgs and claimed class-leading towing capacity of 3,500kgs. A removable canvas hood is included as standard.

The Double Cab costs £19,995 on the road and the County Double Cab - which adds air conditioning, anti-lock brakes and electronic traction control among other features - is £20,810 on the road.

Land Rover points out that the Double Cab is classified as a fully VAT-reclaimable vehicle under the latest VAT regulations.
