Aberdeen-based Town and County plans to build a £750,000 Subaru and Isuzu facility in the city after taking the franchises from the collapsed Anderson Cars.

The latest announcement comes after Town and County opened a £750,000 Lexus showroom in Aberdeen. The five-car dealership, one of only three Lexus outlets in Scotland, is housed at the group's 3.5-acre Greenwell Road site, which also accommodates Land Rover, Porsche and MG.

The Subaru and Isuzu outlet will take up temporary residence on the site until the new building is finished early next year. The company has also taken on Subaru and Isuzu in Perth.

The two Subaru and Isuzu sites should account for 250 new sales this year, which would propel group turnover to around £60m.

Further expansion, the company has been in talks with Edinburgh-based Abercromby with a view to acquiring the Audi franchise, has not been discounted.
