Managing director Alec Colvin-Smith has appointed two senior managers at North Eastern Land Rover as he looks toward developing other areas of the business, both motor and non-motor related.

Ian Twizell is promoted from sales manager to general manager at the Newcastle upon Tyne-based dealership. He is replaced by former assistance sales manager Peter Lawson.

Mr Colvin-Smith said: "I am delighted they are going to take over the day-to-day running of the dealership, allowing me the time to focus on developing other areas of the business.

"We have plans to grow the dealership within the Land Rover business and are further developing our internet sales." North Eastern Land Rover established its website to focus on sales of parts, accessories and Land Rover goods rather than cars. "We will continue to concentrate our internet activities in this area," said Mr Colvin-Smith.
