Benfield Ford has acquired the Advance used car superstore in Leeds in a move that is expected to boost its turnover by £1m.

The SuperCentre, which is adjacent to the Benfield Ford dealership, is the group's first in Yorkshire and was purchased due to rising demand for quality used cars in the region.

Used car specialist Martin Gallagher, who heads the centre, said: “The SuperCentre aims to provide customers with a wide choice of makes and models of affordable cars, ranging from nearly new vehicles to the older end of the market, which will meet a variety of needs and budgets.

“Benfield Ford has invested heavily in Yorkshire during the past five years and created a significant number of new jobs for local people. Customers have the reassurance that they are buying a used car from a major retailer with a trusted name.”

The used car SuperCentre takes Benfield's turnover to £200m, with Yorkshire accounting for £70m.
