Former Dixon Motors executive director Andy Teale has formed a business partnership to supply computer software to the finance, insurance and retail motor sectors.

He has teamed up with Terry Chapman, formerly development director of Lynx Automotive Systems, a dealer management system provider, to form Fastrack Software in partnership with insurance claims administrator Direct Group.

Mr Teale, who worked for Dixons for nine years, said: “In recent years we have seen an acceleration of change within the consumer market, with increasing consumer demands, we don't expect this trend to slow down. Fastrack Software will provide technology solutions to its business partners.”

The new company's first product is an vehicle showroom management programme. The services it offers include retail and fleet customer management, new and used vehicle selection and configuration, point-of-sale materials for new and used vehicles, part exchange selection and appraisal including hand held appraisal technology, selection of finance products including product features and benefits and sales management monitoring tools.

Fastrack also provides IT consultancy and training.

Mr Teale and Mr Chapman are shareholders in Fastrack and will be joined on the board by John Dunhill, Geoff Woodhead and Nigel Clack from Direct Group.
