Daihatsu has introduced a three-year/60,000-mile warranty for all parts and accessories in a bid to boost dealers' aftersales revenue from the sale of original equipment.

The full warranty applies only to items fitted by Daihatsu dealers – parts bought and fitted by the car owner will be covered, but the warranty will exclude the cost of labour.

The initiative, which covers more than 20,000 parts and accessories, has been backdated to include items purchased from January 2001.

Importer International Motors, which last year opened a £1m-plus parts warehouse dedicated to Daihatsu, has appointed Lynxflow to handle dealer deliveries of stock order parts from March.

Daihatsu has appointed Mondial Assistance to manage its three-year road assistance programme.
