Nissan is targeting an increase in LCV sales across Europe with the launch of three new models over the next two years.

The move, which will give Nissan a presence in every commercial vehicle segment, from sub 2-tonne to 15-tonne, is expected to boost market share from 3% to 5%.

The Interstar, a sub-3.5 tonne medium van, will be exhibited at the Amsterdam show this month, followed in September by a light van called the Primastar. A new car-derived van, codenamed the X76, will be launched in 2003.

Nissan also intends to grow its commercial vehicle network, inclduing in the UK, with added focus on aftersales services.
