British Car Auctions is to build a new remarketing supercentre on a 24-acre site near on junction 13/14 of the M1 south of Bedford. The development, which will be operational within the next 18 months, will be the biggest motor auction development of the decade, claims the company.p> BCA says the new site will benefit from being accessible and in a strategically important location. It will form a major component in the development of its nationwide network. The new centre will deliver a wide range of services to BCA's corporate customers in the Midlands as well as being placed to serve develop Home Counties business.

The company has also revealed that the additional 10 acres of land available at its Nottingham auction centre will be fully operational from January 2003. At a total of 30 acres, Nottingham will then be the third largest auction centre in Europe – after Blackbushe and Belle Vue.
