Groupama Insurances to use a new computer-based repair estimation and authorisation system to make the vehicle repair process quicker and easier. The firm is using Glass's Information Services' Glassmatix system to link its claims operation with its network of 190 partnership repairers.

The system is updated every month by CD but repairers with a low volume of work can use Glassmatix.Net - an online version of the system. By speeding up the authorisation process and consequently improving its claims service, Groupama says it can make the repair industry profitable.

Tim Ablett, Groupama Insurances managing director, says the move is an important step for the firm. “Our strategy includes closer communications, regular reviews, better management and performance information as well as reducing costs for the benefit of all parties,” he says.

“By creating an open and sharing environment both the group and its partnership repair network will be empowered to deliver a consistently high level of customer service.”
