Kia Rio's Focus on competitors

Kia says the major selling point of its new Rio will be a “Focus size car at a Fiesta three-door price.” Priced from £5995 to £8995, the new model features a higher quality interior and bolder exterior styling.

The front boasts new lights, a bolder grille and higher bonnet line to match the Carens'/Sedona's 'family' look. The interior changes include revised fascia, switches, dashboard and centre console.

Improved brakes, harder suspension, and increased sound-proofing are included in the enhancements – and with the 1.3 and 1.5litre versions both delivering in excess of 40mpg. The 1.3 is in the lowest company car tax band, and the 1.5 one band above it.

Equipment includes ISOFix child seat anchor points. The 1.3 LX has rear electric windows and remote locking. The 1.5 SE benefits from front fog lamps and RDS stereo audio with in-dash single CD player.
