Delphi has invested more than £4m in a new technical and training school in Warwick designed exclusively to develop service skills and professionalism across the automotive aftermarket.

The centre offers training modules covering all-makes product, electronic diagnostic systems, customer service and management disciplines up to full degree programmes. It can accommodate 200 delegates and features technical training workshops, a working garage and a diesel clean room.

There are over 80 vocational training courses designed specifically for aftermarket technicians, mechanics and distributor personnel in the UK.

“Vehicles are getting more sophisticated, technology is developing at a pace, component reliability is increasing and service intervals are lengthening,” says Phil Woodcock, Delphi's UK marketing manager. “We recognise that the industry desperately needs more highly trained technicians to meet this demand and it needs them now.”
