Citroen has advanced plans for a new small three-door saloon, the C2, in the final quarter of this year. The group aims to produce 190,000 units from 2004 at its factory at Aulnay in Seine Saint-Denis.

The C2 will replace the Saxo, which was launched in December 1995, but will be very different in design, according to a report in Los Echos.
