Britain's biggest consumer motor show, Motor Show Live, is adopting a new format in 2004, with a new sponsor, a new name and new features. The Sunday Times has entered into a £1m partnership with the SMMT to become the first ever title sponsor of the event, which will now be called The Sunday Times Motor Show Live.

The Sunday Times Driving supplement claims market leadership, carrying 47% of all motoring editorial within daily and Sunday broadsheet and mid-market papers, and 33% of all classified motors advertising.

Tod Evans, President of SMMT says “The Sunday Times Motor Show Live is the new name for a new kind of event with new cars and new opportunities for visitors to drive at the Show. The industry has decided that the days of visitors looking at static cars on stands have long gone and it's time to roll back the carpet and show the world how it can be done.”

The Sunday Times Motor Show Live takes place from 27 May - 6 June 2004 at the NEC in Birmingham. Tickets can now be purchased via the website, www.motorshowlive.com
