Automotive Advantage, the aftermarket sector training specialist, has signed a sponsorship deal for 2005 with the Institute of the Motor Industry (IMI).

The move is part of a strategy to support schemes aimed at raising standards in the automotive industry. The key focus of the arrangement is the renewed sponsorship of the IMI’s Learning and Skills Awards.

As sole sponsor of five categories Automotive Advantage aims to help build on the success of last year’s event by encouraging more nominations.

Nigel Beaven, IMI director of marketing says: “Recognising achievement and assisting individuals in their development are fundamental objectives of the IMI and in partnership with the Automotive Advantage we will be able to take this to the next level in 2005.”
