Lookers to open £4.5m showpiece at M6 Star City

Lookers, the UK's eighth biggest dealer group by turnover, is to build a new £4.5m dealership in Birmingham. Located at the Star City entertainment complex just off the M6, the Vauxhall dealership will open in May.

The 23,000sq-ft brand centre will use internet pods to create a no-salesperson zone that allows prospects to look for information on all cars before deciding to buy. There will also be a full aftersales service and MasterFit bay.

Ken Surgenor, Lookers chief executive, says: “Star City is a key location. Customers visiting Lookers Vauxhall at Star City will find a huge choice of cars, a relaxed high street feel and the chance to browse at leisure.”

Kevin Wale, Vauxhall chairman, says. “The new brand centre at Star City will be seen by 400,000 people every day because of its location and will showcase the innovation and design credentials of the Vauxhall brand.”
