Two UK dealer master technicians have won the BMW international service technician competition. Nearly 6,300 technicians from the German carmaker's dealerships from 33 countries competed to gain a place in the finals in Munich.

Dennis Carey from BMW Scotthall, Borehamwood and Michael Futers from BMW Castle, York had already beaten 320 entrants at the UK national competition before picking up an international accolade. The technicians had to detect and repair faults in a range of electronic systems during the four-day event. They also faced a two-hour theory test.
