Suzuki GB is planning to build a £12m national parts training and technical centre for the UK.

The 15,400 sq-ft facility at Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire, will be constructed on a green field site and will open late next year.

Suzuki motorcycles and marine products will also be stored and distributed from the centre. But the importer's administrative headquarters will remain in Crawley, West Sussex, where the company has been based for the last 22 years.

Hideki Awano, managing director, says the move is a vital part of Suzuki GB's growth strategy. “The choice of Milton Keynes will enable us to continue to provide first class support services for the future,” he says.
