Toyota has announced the launch of the new Hilux Invincible, debuted at The Sunday Times Motor Show Live this year.

The Hilux Invincible is based on the VX but has an upgraded specification that includes a full leather interior, with "Invincible" branding, six-disc dashboard-mounted CD autochanger with radio cassette, leather trimmed steering wheel and gear knobs, brushed metal scuff plates, and dark-tinted privacy glass for the rear windows. On the outside there are 15-inch alloy wheels, chrome plated rear tubular bumper, dark-tinted privacy glass for the rear windows and chrome Invincible badging.

In common with the VX, the Invincible also offers ABS, power steering, alarm, electric front and rear windows and door mirrors, air conditioning and sports-style front seats.

The Hilux Invincible is powered by Toyota’s 16-valve 2.5-litre D-4D direct injection common rail turbodiesel engine, delivering 102bhp. The power level can be raised to 128bhp for an extra £595 as a ‘dealer-fit’ option.

All Hilux models come with driver and passenger airbags and ABS.

The range-topping Invincible will go on sale on July 1 and is priced at £17,995 excluding VAT, delivery and OTR charges.
