Jewsons of Oxford and Withams in Walton-on-Thames have become Skoda Business Sales Centres, bringing the number of BSCs in the UK to 20.

The BSC programme was launched at the end of 2002, its target audience being the local business sector. Each BSC has a member of staff who is directly responsible for sales, aftersales and customer care for all small businesses.

Stuart Rolfe, of Jewsons, is delighted with the facility’s new status. “It’s an area of the market that we have not investigated in the past and, with Skoda’s help and assistance, we can now move in the right direction and increase our awareness,” he says.

Withams has been a Skoda retailer for the past 30 years. Managing director Barry Witham says: "Becoming a BSC is a logical progression for our business. Our recent targets have been based on retail sales alone and this was becoming more difficult to maintain. Adopting Skoda’s ‘modus operandi’ has helped us move into the business market."
