Jaguar has been voted as one of the most highly rated brands in the UK by Superbrands, an independent authority on branding, at its annual awards night.

Consumers voted Jaguar the favourite brand in the car manufacturer, motor services and travel services category. Jaguar came top in the ‘affinity’ sector cited as the brand consumers would most like to work for and the brand consumers would miss the most if it was no longer around. The marque also took the top spot in the ‘quality’ sector.

Brand experts on the Superbrands Council - made up of directors of leading commercial and financial organisations - voted Jaguar one of the top six brands in the UK. Jaguar came top in the judging criteria of the award programme, which included market dominance, longevity, goodwill, customer loyalty and overall market acceptance.

Jaguar was the only car manufacturer in the top six, with first place going to Marks and Spencer. Jaguar’s UK marketing manager, David Lewis, who collected the award, says: "This recognition is especially pleasing as a measure of how Jaguar has retained its brand values in its transition to new market segments. The sense of pride, passion, aspiration and heritage, which has always been attached to our name is vital to our customers and us."
