DaimlerChrysler UK has announced the appointment of Neil Williamson as director network development. Williamson will join the executive management team of the Milton Keynes-based company on August 16, and will report to president and CEO Wilfried Steffen.

Williamson will head up a 70-strong team with responsibility for market development, market representation and training for all the company’s passenger car and commercial vehicle brands - Mercedes-Benz, Smart, Maybach, Chrysler, Jeep, and Mitsubishi Canter - throughout the UK, working with nationwide networks of both company-owned and franchised retailers.

In his new role, Williamson succeeds Mike Manley, now vice-president dealer pperations with Chrysler Group in the US.
