DaimlerChrysler has appointed prestige replacement vehicle specialist, Accident Exchange, to provide accident management and business support services to its Mercedes-Benz retail operations in its Birmingham and Manchester territories.

Accident Exchange will provide replacement Mercedes-Benz vehicles to DaimlerChrysler customers across eight dealerships (four in each territory) following road traffic accidents. Collectively, Manchester and Birmingham represents the largest volume territory for Mercedes-Benz passenger vehicles outside of London.

At current levels the referral business should generate approximately 100 cases per month. In order to handle the increased volume, Accident Exchange has made a minimum purchase commitment to DaimlerChrysler for 100 Mercedes-Benz vehicles over the next year.

Accident Exchange chief executive, Steve Evans says: “We are both delighted and excited by the relationship. During the next three months, we will execute a training programme and implant Accident Exchange team members through the dealership network.”

“Both parties believe that this will be the start of a long-term relationship which will add significant value to the customer service currently being provided by Mercedes-Benz dealers.”
