All 18 Accord diesels, comprising of 12 saloons and six tourers, were sold, with strong bidding driving prices to reach an average 89% of the vehicle’s cost when new. The auction included a total of 174 cars direct from Honda UK, with the sale averaging 111% of CAP Clean across the board.
Steve Clarke, BCA national account manager of manufacturer sales, says the strong bidding is indicative of the retail interest in Honda’s product range that dealers have been reporting.
Richard Battams-Scott, Honda UK used car sales manager, agrees. “The performance was on a par with what we were achieving at the height of the market in January. Our dealer network has been consistently supporting the sales programme with BCA and bidding confidently across the range,” he says.
