Fast-fit chain Hi-Q is looking to expand its network of 503 locations following the appointment of Mike Garwood as its new dealer/franchise operations manager.

Garwood has a brief to recruit new members in strategic areas in order to develop the Hi-Q brand, which is owned by Goodyear Dunlop. Although he wouldn’t reveal how many more locations the company is planning to establish, Garwood admits he is undertaking a nationwide gap analysis audit in preparation for its expansion, scheduled to start later this year.

Goodyear Dunlop retail director Graham Scholefield says the business is looking to build its strength in the marketplace, including its dealer partners and franchisees. “Since integrating MotorWay into the Hi-Q network last year, our priority has been to restructure and re-focus the equity business,” he adds.

Garwood, who has more than 30 years’ experience in the industry, has been Hi-Q’s marketing manager for the past four years.
