Body Shop Solutions has acquired the UK and Eire sole distribution rights for Celette crash repair equipment after the French supplier’s British agent, Celette UK, went into receivership last month.

The company, which claims to have the backing of the majority of manufacturers, says service has not been disrupted to its 2,000 customers. “We have rescued a big name in the industry – Celette is now safe,” says director Steve Knowles, a former Blackhawk sales director.

The Daventry warehouse has been retained, although the Doncaster and Abergavenny sites have closed, and a new logistics supplier, TNT, appointed to streamline the business. Knowles is now looking to expand the business and is increasing stock of brackets.

Better marketing of Celette’s products, which include benches, brackets, the Naja electronic measuring system, welders and the 5000 in-floor pulling system, is promised, and customers will be encouraged to invest in the latest technologies.
