The board of Stapletons has also announced that Mike England will be standing down as managing director, with immediate effect. Alan Denton, formerly the company’s operations director, has been promoted to chief operating officer.
Commenting on the board changes, Kenji Murai, vice chairman, says: "During the last four years, as retail director and then managing director, Mike has played an important role in the transformation of our retail business as well as the overall success of the company. He leaves us with our best wishes and thanks for a major contribution to the group."
