The UK company EPM Technology, which supplies advanced composite body parts to Formula One teams and car manufacturers, has announced plans to establish a production facility on part of the former MG Rover site at Longbridge in the West Midlands.

EPM Technology, which has its headquarters in Draycott, Derbyshire, claims that up to 450 people could eventually be employed at its new facility.

In addition to its motorsport clients Epm is also a supplier to Renault, TVR, Marcos, Bentley, Aston Martin, Jaguar, Lotus, Land Rover and public transport vehicle Optare.

Production at Longbridge is expected to start in February 2006.
