DaimlerChrysler UK may cut up to 128 jobs as part of a reorganisation of its operations.

The company has entered a 90-day consultation period which may end in redundancies, primarily at its Milton Keynes headquarters.

The company said it was reviewing its business structure to ‘maintain our competitive edge’.

“This course of action is a regrettable but unavoidable step,” said DaimlerChrysler today.

Potential redundancies will remain confidential.

The company said it would do all it could to assist any staff who are made redundant in finding alternative employment within the DaimlerChrysler Group or through outplacement support.

DaimlerChrysler UK declined to comment any further when contacted by AM-online.
