Toyota has revised its five-door Corolla colour collection for 2006.

Climate control air conditioning and electrically heated door mirrors are now added as standard.

The interior gains a brushed metal effect centre console and a silver fleck seat fabric. Exterior changes include six-spoke 15-inch alloy wheels and a metallic paint finish in silver steel, ixion blue or eclipse black.

These features are in addition to the colour collection’s previous specification which includes front fog lamps, front, front side and curtain airbags, a sound system with CD player, electric windows and a leather trimmed steering wheel with audio controls.

The new Corolla colour collection is available now, only in five-door hatchback body style, with the choice of 1.4 and 1.6-litre VVT-i or 2.0-litre D-4D engines; the 1.6 is available with the option of automatic transmission. On-the-road prices start at £11,595.

There is no change to the specification of the 2006 Corolla T2, T Spirit, T3 saloon and estate, but the 1.4 and 1.6-litre VVT-I, 1.4 and 2.0-litre D-4D T3 five-door models adopt the same extra equipment as the colour collection.

Toyota has suspended production of the three-door T3, but three-door T2 models are still available.
