HR Owen has officially opened its new £7.5m purpose-built BMW and Mini dealership on the A40 in West London.

The showroom is located on Gypsy Corner on the Western Avenue, Acton, London. It is predicted to become the company’s most profitable.

The new site heralds a complete rebranding for the BMW business. Other sites at Chelsea, Chiswick, Heathrow and Holland Park are now branded as HR Owen.

In the first month of business, the dealership, which has been trading since January, boosted the group’s BMW business by 20%. New car sales were up 11% compared to the same period in 2004.

“It is such a high profile site that walk-in or even drive-in trade increases as each week passes,” says dealer principal Frank Kinner.

The showroom has space for 29 cars and includes an indoor showroom for used vehicles. Aftersales and servicing is carried out at the nearby Holland Park site. BMW and Mini have separate showrooms, staff and displays on the same site.

“The opening of our newest dealership marks a new era for HR Owen’s BMW franchise, which is the largest representative of the brand in London. The business now moves forward under its parent company name,” says Kinner.
