Citroen UK has announced that current managing director, Alan Favey, will be leaving on September 1 to become the MD of Citroen Italy.

Xavier Duchemin, who will be replacing Favey, has been with Citroen for the last 14 years, holding a series of positions in sales, marketing, replacement parts and human resources in its Paris head office and within other European countries.

Favey joined Citroen UK in May 2000 and has overseen an increase in sales from 86,000 vehicles in 1999 to 130,000 last year.
