Big names sign up for BCA super sale

Some of the biggest names in auto retailing and fleet have signed up for sales at a new auction supercentre being developed by BCA.

Among the firms ready for business at the site, which opens for business in September, are Lex Vehicle Leasing, Lloyds TSB autolease, Hitachi Capital, ING Car Lease and Reg Vardy Contracts. Dealers and distributors will have a significant presence with CD Bramall, Lookers and Bristol Street, among others, offering a range of stock.

There will be weekly sales on behalf of Motability Operations and Arval, while Bank of Scotland will sell fortnightly at the site in Bedford.

A wide range of special manufacturer sales are planned, with Peugeot, Vauxhall, Ford, BMW/Alphabet, Honda, Citroen and Volkswagen all represented.Royal Mail plans an active programme of commercial vehicle sales, with additional stock from leasing, fleet and dealer sources.

The 25-acre supercentre is the largest UK auction centre to be built in more than a decade and will provide a range of remarketing services to BCA’s corporate customer base as well as serving the home counties and further afield.

  • THE first General Motors tri-brand sale, featuring Vauxhall, Saab and Chevrolet vehicles, was held at BCA Measham last month. Almost 200 vehicles were entered, attracting close to 80 buyers and franchise representatives from the three manufacturers. A further 24 buyers bid over the web using BCA’s Live Online system.
