The British Lotus Elise has set a sales record in America for the Norfolk-based sportscar manufacturer.

2,385 units have been sold since the model was introduced in the US in July 2004.

Lotus now has 45 dealers in the US, and is adding two more later this year. From this month it is also importing the Exige in the US.
