Cheshire-based Bells Group has gone into administration after the business ceased trading in June.

The dealer group was trading with Seat and Nissan franchises, and also represented MG and Rover until the collapse of the manufacturer in April.

The group’s stock has already been sold off to a mixture of retail and trade customers. Business advisors DTE Leonard Curtis are now looking to sell the sites on behalf of the receivers.

“It will definitely not be sold as a going concern and the sites are unlikely to remain as motor dealerships,” says Clive Smith, motor specialist at DTE Leonard Curtis.

“All the remaining stock has been sold and we are now looking to sell on the premises as soon as possible.”

The group had two sites in Lancashire: a Seat dealership at Dowson Road in Hyde, and a Nissan dealership at Oldham Road in Ashton-under-Lyme.
