Over 2,000 management and dealer sales staff from Honda, Nissan, Toyota and Renault have completed a new training programme to underline the importance of active safety systems.

The scheme, developed and operated by Bosch, was thought up after a Bosch survey revealed only 1% of motorists knew about ESP. This was supported by a Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders survey in October last year which highlighted only 5% knew about the technology.

Bosch will expand its ‘ESPerience’ training programme this year to include other car manufacturers, major dealer groups and key fleet companies. The company aims to highlight the importance of active safety systems and the necessity of specifying ESP on all new vehicles including vans.
