Bristol Street Motors has been named UK Automotive Retailer 2007 by the Institute of Transport Management.

The award is designed to ‘recognise outstanding contributions to the development of the automotive industry’.

"In a highly testing era for the motor trade, the award was given to reflect outstanding contribution to industry growth through retailing excellence.

"Bristol Street Motors - under the leadership of Paul Williams, Bristol Street Group chief executive and NFDA chairman - has consistently put the customer first throughout its long history, and is continuing to build on this ethos through a £5 million computer system upgrade and ongoing web development," said Sue Robinson, director of the RMI national franchised dealers association (NFDA).

Paul Williams, NFDA chairman, said: "As a long-standing RMIF member, we are proud to be recognised in this way, and hope that the award encourages other dealer groups to continue to work diligently towards the common goal of customer satisfaction."
