General Motors will launch its Cadillac brand in South Africa in the new year.

Three models will initially be available: the BLS mid-size saloon, the SRX crossover SUV, and the STS full-size saloon.

"The STS and SRX have achieved success in North America, Europe and Asia, and the new mid-size BLS has been an important addition to our Cadillac portfolio.

"South Africa is one of the fastest growing automobile markets in the world, and with our distinct portfolio of luxury vehicles, Cadillac is ready to further its expansion on the African continent," said James Vurpillat, director of international marketing and brand development for Cadillac.
