Kia is offering expectant parents and those already with babies significant discounts on the new Carens.

Discounts range from £500 for those who are either expecting a baby, or had one within the last six months, to £1,000 to the parents of twins, £3,000 for triplets and £4,000 for quadruplets.

Parents of quintuplets can expect the most discount, as Kia will provide the new seven-seater Carens, which ranges from £11,995-16,995, absolutely free.

A spokesman for Kia tells AM: "At the moment we’ve not had any take up on the offer but it is still in its early stages and set to have more promotion around it. Hopefully it will become an ongoing offer. The discount will be off the list price and dealer margin will not be affected by the promotion."

The current offer ends on December 22.

Without the aid of fertility treatments, the odds of multiple births are: twins one in 90; triplets one in 8,100; quadruplets one in 729,000; quintuplets one in 65.6m. The UK’s population is approximately 60.4m.
