Motorsales of Harlow has received praise from Harlow College for its commitment to training and employee development.

The dealership, which welcomes students into its Vauxhall, Fiat and Citroën workshops, has been working with the college for the last 14 years.

Rob Cecil, workshops controller at Motorsales of Harlow, says: “We take on apprentices who then attend Harlow College on a day-release basis.

“We’re very happy to have received this commendation; we have seen a lot of apprentices through their qualifications.”

The dealership will support the college by selling, at a reduced rate, a new Fiat Panda and various spare components for the vehicle. This will enable the students to practice and experience current and new vehicle diesel technology.

David Ellerby, former Harlow College principal, says: “Motorsales encourages and motivates its apprentices to achieve their qualifications and gain practical skills. They organize the apprentices’ workshop time around their study days.”
