Kia Motors UK has appointed Byong Kwang Jang as its new president with immediate effect.

Jang, (49), arrives from Kia Motors Corporation head office in Seoul where he was director of the export sales group to succeed Se-Il Lee who has returned Korea.

Jang said: “It is my job to ensure Kia Motors UK stays at the forefront of our growth in Europe and although we are planning to use 2006 to consolidate our success by only seeking to increase sales to around 45,000 units this year, it is important that we continue the development of our infrastructure and systems so that we can again move ahead strongly.”
