Bugatti’s £810,000 Veyron is selling so well, the company is increasing the price by an estimated 10%.

Bugatti said the price rise would take effect from next month.

Thomas Bscher, Bugatti’s president, told The Times it will increase production from 50 cars a year to 70 in order to cut waiting times, which now run to 14-15 months.

The company also has plans for a new Bugatti model, a four-seater, which would be produced in higher volumes for a lower sale price and which, unlike the Veyron, would be expected to make a profit.
